Sustainable pioneer in the premium segment

Because just being chic isn't enough for us, all Maison Hēroïne models are made explicitly from recycled leather or vegan leather. What would otherwise be thrown away is first reprocessed using an innovative process and then reprocessed in our production facilities in Portugal and Asia. We use both leftover pieces from leather production and vegan materials such as recycled PET bottles.

With this sustainability approach, we are currently pretty much alone when it comes to leather goods in the premium segment. We are doing pioneering work, so to speak. But as a company, we simply couldn't help but encourage a conventional industry to rethink its environmentally friendly processes. Because we have to conserve all resources today if we want to make fashion that will still be relevant tomorrow.

Due to the high proportion of recycled materials in our products, the CO2 consumption per bag is around 60% lower than for conventional comparable items.

In terms of water consumption, we are even about 80% lower than comparable products.
